good stuff

heres what i think might help

1. get a pre-loader

2. i think a score counter would also be cool

keep up the good work

DarkDisguise responds:

HEHE THANKS DUUUUUDE!!!!!!!! :D
well i don't know how to make pre-loaders and that score counter.
Good idé!
now im making a nintendo movie witch is a fight.
Great fight.
but i haven't began so deeply into it :D
Well seee yaaa duuuuuude!!!!!!

well...

again, the sprites are too small for the background, you had sprites apearing at random, and link and zelda disapeared in one scene before it switched over. and you might want to reconcider the big battle ending with the screen going black and playing a bunch of sounds from Exile 3.

and again, the animations could have been a lot smoother.

here's a tip, watch other sprite movies and try to see how they do things, that way, you can put those into practice in your movies.

and as to my review to "Damage of time", I ment the background had a white box around it, not the sprites, at least you know how to trace bitmap, I've seen tons of sprite animators that dont have a clue how to trace a bitmap.

but good start, and good luck in the future

DarkAssailant responds:

You make the same points over and over and, being so medicore, they never cease to make me chuckle.

1. "teh sprite r 2 smal! omg omg!"

Ehhh... so what if they are too small, it makes hardly any difference. Seiriously. They aren't THAT small, and even so, it doesn't matter much anyway.

2. Link and Zelda dispeer! rofl rofl!

Urm... so? It was only for a single frame.

3. Animations smoother

Ehhh sorry but the animated gifs I get are screwed up. = /

Thanks for the review.
(Even if you did give it a three... grrr...)

well, its a start

One thing you could have done is made the sprites a bit bigger in proportion to the background, also, some of the backgrounds were surounded by white, and that kinda draged it down for me. movie clips could have helped to so the sprites actualy walked instead of slide. and some of the crossovers wern't nessesary, Cisel's head shot for the guard was ok, but cloud and tifa for link and zelda, it would have looked better if you had closeups of link and zelda, like do a search for cg pics and croped them out. also you could have made another layer above the zone eater so it looks like its coming out of the ground, as opposed to it coming from the bottom of the screen. And one last thing, when zelda morphs into alexander, you could have done a shape tween, so it looks like she actualy morphs.

but overall, I thin you have the potential for becomeing a good sprite animator

DarkAssailant responds:

I will respond to your comments in order.

Absolutely none of the sprites were surrounded by white - they were all completely "white free". If you wish to prove they were write, take a screenshot, zoom in, and then show it to me. I doubt you will find a fault.

Zelda's picture was not tifa, it was Garnet from FF9. And I believed these two pictures were very, very good and I liked them, and they also looked very much like Link and Zelda. Therefore, i used them.

I apologize for the crappiness of the zone eater.

Thanks, if I knew what a shape tween was it would help o.O maybe ill test it out one day.

Thanks for the review.

(P.S you obviously know alot about final fantasy =) )
